Privacy Policy: The Sausage
Last updated: 21 October 2026
The Sausage is a personal application operated by Randy Chng as a single-user project. It is used only by its owner and is not offered to the public. Contact: chngyuanlong@gmail.com
Google data accessed
With the owner’s consent, the app accesses the owner’s Google Calendar events and Google Tasks (task titles, notes, due dates and completion status).
Scopes requested
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly: read-only. The app never changes the calendar.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks: read and write, needed to create and update tasks so that they match the owner’s Notion workspace.
How the data is used
The data is used only to (a) keep the owner’s Notion tasks and Google Tasks in step, and (b) build the owner’s own daily briefing of calendar events and tasks for the next 7 days. It is not used for advertising, profiling or analytics, and is never sold or shared for those purposes.
The sync copies task titles, due dates and status between the owner’s own Notion workspace and Google Tasks. Nothing else is written, and no calendar data is written anywhere. Every write to Notion is shown to the owner for approval first.
Storage
The OAuth refresh token is stored in a file on the owner’s own computer, not in any code repository. Briefing text is built in memory. A local database keeps only sync bookkeeping (task identifiers and last-synced values) for the sync.
Sharing and recipients
- The briefing text is sent to the owner’s private Telegram chat.
- The briefing is converted to speech using Microsoft’s Edge text-to-speech service, so the briefing text, including calendar and task titles, is sent to Microsoft for that purpose.
- Task titles are exchanged with Notion by the sync.
Nobody other than the owner has access to the data, and no human reads it.
Retention and deletion
Revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions stops all access. Deleting the token file removes the stored credential.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
